【摘要】:Thisspecificationdescribestherequirementsofthespreadspectrumadaptivewideband(SS-AW)approachwhichincorporatestheservicesprovidedbythephysicallayerentityandtheMACsublayer.ThetransmissionmediumisassumedtobethedistributionnetworkonboththeMVorLVlevel.TheMACsublayerdescribedinthisspecificationinterfaceswiththelogicallinkcontrol(LLC)layerdescribedinIEC61334-4-32.ThenoiseandsignalattenuationcharacteristicsoftheMVandLVnetworksrequireahierarchicalapproach,wheremethodsformodulation/demodulation,synchronization,equaliza-tion,errorcontrolcoding,andmediaaccesscontrolaredesignedspecificallyforthishostilecommunicationsenvironment.Thisapproachincludesalow-levellinkprotocolwithintheMACsublayerthatincorporatessomefunctionsgenerallyassociatedwithadatalinkcontrolprocedure.Thisspecificationdescribessuchahierarchicalapproachbasedonaspreadspectrumphysicallayerwithfastsynchronizationenablingshort-durationtransmissionsandadaptiveequalization.Thiscoupledwithalow-levellinkprotocol,theeffectiveutilizationoferrorcorrectionanddetection,androbustmediumaccessmanagementprovidesarobust,reliableplatformfortheLLCsublayer.Theadaptivecomponentofthisapproachreferstotheequalizationmethodusedtocompensateforthetime-varyingnatureofthecommunicationchannelimpairments.Thereceivermustselectappropriateequalizationvaluestoadapttothechangingchannelcharacteristics,whichcanbenode-specific,onaframebasistoachieveoptimalperformance.Theequalizationparametersareadjustedbasedonvariousqualitymetricsavailablefromthereceivedframe,forexample,theHammingdistanceofthesynchronizationpreamble,theerror-freestatusoftheframeheaderanddatablock,ifpresent,orthefailuretoreceiveanexpectedresponse.Theequalizationmethodsarewell-knownandtheprecisemethodisdeterminedbytheparticularimplementationofthisspecification.Thisallowscost/performancetrade-offsandfutureimprovementstooccurwithoutlosingcompatibility.
