【摘要】:InstrumentalMeasurementAngles8212;Thispracticeisdesignedtoprovidecolordataatspecificmeasurementanglesthatcanbeutilizedforqualitycontrol,colormatching,andformulatinginthecharacterizationofmetalflakepigmentedmaterials.Materials8212;Thispracticeprovidesmeaningfulcolorinformationformetalflakepigmentedmaterials,buthasnotbeenevaluatedforusewithpearlescentmaterialsorothergonioapparentmaterials.Thispracticehasbeentestedandverifiedonpaintandcoatings,andthesameprinciplesshouldapplytoplasticscontainingmetallicflake.Utilization8212;Thispracticeisappropriateformeasurementandcharacterizationofmetalflakepigmentedmaterials.Thesedatamaybeusedforqualitycontrol,incominginspection,orcolorcorrectionpurposes.SpecimenRequirements8212;Eventhoughapairofspecimenshavethesamecolorvaluesatthreeangles,iftherearedifferencesingloss,orangepeel,texture,orflakeorientation,theymaynotbeavisualmatch.Note28212;Informationpresentedinthispracticeisbasedupondatatakenonmetallicmaterialscoatings.Applicabilityofthispracticetoothermaterialsshouldbeconfirmedbytheuser.1.1Thispracticecoverstheinstrumentalrequirements,standardizationprocedures,materialstandards,andparametersneededtomakepreciseinstrumentalmeasurementsofthecolorsofgonioapparentmaterials.Thispracticeisdesignedtoencompassgonioapparentmaterials;suchas,automotivecoatings,paints,plastics,andinks.1.2Thispracticeaddressesmeasurementofmaterialscontainingmetalflakeandpigments.Theopticalcharacteristicsofmaterialscontainingpearlescentandinterferencematerialsarenotcoveredbythispractice.Themeasurementofmaterialscontainingmetalflakesrequiresthreeanglesofmeasurementtocharacterizethecolorsofthespecimen.Note18212;Datatakenbyutilizingthispracticeareforappearancequalitycontrolpurposes.Thisproceduremaynotnecessarilysupplyappropriatedataforpigmentidentification.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
