【摘要】:Aswithconventionalradiography,radioscopicexaminationisbroadlyapplicabletothemanymaterialsandobjectconfigurationswhichmaybepenetratedwithX-raysorgammarays.Thehighdegreeofvariationinarchitectureandperformanceamongradioscopicsystemsduetocomponentselection,physicalarrangementandobjectvariables,makesitnecessarytoestablishthelevelofperformancewhichtheselectedradioscopicsystemiscapableofachievinginspecificapplications.Themanufactureroftheradioscopicsystem,aswellastheuser,requireacommonbasisfordeterminingtheperformanceleveloftheradioscopicsystem.Thispracticedoesnotpurporttoprovideamethodtomeasuretheperformanceofindividualradioscopicsystemcomponentswhicharemanufacturedaccordingtoavarietyofindustrystandards.Thispracticecoversmeasurementofthecombinedperformanceoftheradioscopicsystemelementswhenoperatedtogetherasafunctionalradioscopicsystem.Thispracticeaddressestheperformanceofradioscopicsystemsinthestaticmodeonly.Radioscopycanalsobeadynamic,real-timeornearreal-timeexaminationtechniquewhichcanallowtest-partmotionaswellasparameterchangesduringtheradioscopicexaminationprocess.Theuseofthispracticeisnotintendedtobelimitingconcerningtheuseofthedynamicpropertiesofradioscopy.Usersofradioscopyarecautionedthatthedynamicaspectsofradioscopycanhavebeneficialaswellasdetrimentaleffectsuponsystemperformanceandmustbeevaluatedonacase-by-casebasis.Thisqualificationprocedureisintendedtobenchmarkradioscopicsystemperformanceunderselectedoperatingconditionstoprovideameasureofsystemperformance.Qualificationshallnotrestrictoperationoftheradioscopicsystematotherradioscopicexaminationparametersettingswhichmayprovideimprovedperformanceonactualexaminationobjects.Radioscopicsystemperformancemeasuredpursuanttothispracticedoesnotguaranteethelevelofperformancewhichmayberealizedinactualoperation.Theeffectsofobject-geometryandorientation-generatedscatteredradiationcannotbereliablypredictedbyastandardizedexamination.Allradioscopicsystemsageanddegradeinperformanceasafunctionoftime.Maintenanceandoperatoradjustments,ifnotcorrectlymade,canadverselyaffecttheperformanceofradioscopicsystems.Theperformanceoftheradioscopicsystemoperatorinmanualandsemi-automaticradioscopicsystemsisnottakenintoaccountinthispracticeandcanhaveamajoreffectuponradioscopicsystemperformance.Operatorqualificationsareanimportantaspectofsystemoperationandshouldbecoveredinaseparatewrittenprocedure.1.1ThispracticeprovidestestandmeasurementdetailsformeasuringtheperformanceofX-rayandGammarayradioscopicsystems.Radioscopicexaminationapplicationsarediverse.Therefore,systemconfigurationsarealsodiverseandconstantlychangingasthetechnologyadvances.1.2Thispracticeisintendedasameansofinitiallyqualifyingandre-qualifyingaradioscopicsystemforaspecifiedapplicationbydeterminingitsperformancelevelwhenoperatedinastaticmode.Systemarchitectureincludingthemeansofradioscopicexaminationrecordarchivingandthemethodformakingtheaccept/rejectdecisionarealsouniquesystemfeaturesandtheireffectuponsystemperformancemustbeevaluated.1.3Thegeneralprinciples,asstatedinthispractice,applybroadlytotransmitted-beampenetratingradiationradioscopysystems.Otherradioscopicsystems,suchasthoseemployingneutronsandComptonback-scatteredX-rayimagingtechniques,arenotcoveredastheymayinvolveequipmentandapplicationdetailsuniquetosuchsystems.1.4Units8212;Thevalu......
