【摘要】:Thistestmethodwasdevelopedformeasuringlowlevelsofiodine-131inwater.Theresultsofthetestmaybeusedtodetermineiftheconcentrationofiodine-131inthesampleexceedstheregulatorystatutesfordrinkingwater.Withasuitablecountingtechnique,samplesize,andcountingtime,adetectionlimitoflessthan0.037Bq/L(1pCi/L)isattainablebygamma-rayspectroscopy.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantificationoflowlevelsofradioactiveiodineinwaterbymeansofchemicalseparationandcountingwithahigh-resolutiongammaraydetector.Iodineischemicallyseparatedfroma4-Lwatersampleusingionexchangeandsolventextractionandisthenprecipitatedascuprousiodideforcounting.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeNote2,Note3,Note9,andSection9.

【摘要】:Fewstandardsexisttoobjectivelyjudgeflaxquality.Colorisanimportantfactorinthequalityofflaxfiber.Naturalvariationsinrawflaxfiber,variousprocessingsteps,fiberblending,andawiderangeofendusescontributetotheneedforastandardmethodofobjectivelymeasuringthecolorofflaxfiber.Spectrophotometicdataprovideanaccurate,precisedeterminationofthecolorofflaxfiber.ColorimetricdataareobtainedthroughspecimenmeasurementbycombiningspecimenspectraldatawithdatarepresentingaCIEstandardobserverandaCIEstandardilluminant,asdescribedinMethodE308.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwo(ormore)laboratories,comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativetestthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Theresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatfibersampletypemustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheinstrumentalcolormeasurementofflaxfiber.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
